Aeronautical charts are revised and reissued on a regular scheduled basis to ensure that depicted data are current and reliable.
NOTE- This method of filing an airway junction may result in a processing ambiguity. Such contacts permit significant information to be passed to the transiting aircraft and also serve to check the progress of the flight should it be necessary for any reason to locate the aircraft.

This procedure should be avoided at busy airports. This will not only save the time and expense of canceling the flight plan by telephone but will quickly release the airspace for use by other aircraft.
Charts that have been superseded by those of a more recent date may contain obsolete or incomplete flight information. In such cases ATC will provide radar fom and navigational assistance as necessary. This means that when you file a domestic flight plan, 7233- won’t be eligible for RNAV departure or arrival procedures, but you can still be assigned conventional non-RNAV procedures.
